Keep the people you love safe from scams.

Scammers target parents and grandparents every day—with fake bank alerts, IRS threats, romance schemes, tech-support calls, and SIM-swap attacks. In one friendly visit, we lock down their accounts, credit, and phone. Then we stay on call every month. Serving Denver and the Front Range.

Why families call us

Adult children often live hours away. Parents don’t want to “bother” anyone. Scammers exploit both. We close the gap with clear setup, ongoing coaching, and a real human who answers when something feels off.

We don’t touch the money

We are educators and coaches—not financial advisors, not attorneys, not a monitoring service that holds data. Your loved one stays in control of every password and every account.

Plain English, no judgment

We explain each step so they understand why it matters. No tech jargon. No shame about past clicks or shared passwords. Just practical protection.

Family stays in the loop

We set trusted contacts at banks, a family safe word, and simple “hang up and call back” rules so everyone knows what to do under pressure.

Local and reachable

Denver-area in-person visits or secure video. Text or call when a suspicious message lands—before any money moves.

One visit. Ten protections.

We walk through everything in plain English. Your loved one types their own credentials while we guide. Nothing is recorded or stored by us.

Credit freezes & identity lock

We place freezes at Equifax, Experian, and TransUnion—plus guide on Innovis and other lesser-known bureaus when relevant. We also walk through IdentityTheft.gov and state resources so new accounts can’t be opened in their name without a PIN they control.

  • Freeze + PIN setup at the big three
  • How to temporarily lift a freeze if they apply for credit
  • Fraud alerts and what they do vs. freezes

Passwords & 2-step login

A reputable password manager, unique strong passwords for email and banks, and multi-factor authentication turned on where it matters most.

  • Password manager install & first vault
  • 2FA on email, bank, and critical apps
  • Backup codes stored safely offline

Card & bank alerts

Instant transaction alerts, card-lock features, and a calm review of recent statements so unusual charges stand out.

  • Text/email alerts for every charge
  • How to freeze a card from the phone
  • What to do if a charge looks wrong

Phone lockdown

SIM-swap protection with the carrier, spam and robocall blocking, and settings that make it harder for someone to take over the number.

  • Carrier PIN / port freeze
  • Spam filtering & known scam blockers
  • Who to call if the phone “stops working”

Device cleanup

Operating-system and browser updates, removal of risky extensions or unknown apps, and a quick look at what has permission to access data.

  • Updates applied on phone & computer
  • Suspicious apps and extensions removed
  • Safe browsing habits explained

Government accounts

Social Security, IRS, and Medicare accounts claimed and secured first—so scammers can’t open them in your loved one’s name.

  • my Social Security account
  • IRS online account & ID.me where used
  • Medicare.gov / MyMedicare setup

Family in the loop

A trusted contact listed at the bank, a family safe word that only you share, and a simple rule: hang up and call back on a number you already know. We also document who to call at Mun Ink when something feels wrong.

  • Bank / credit-union trusted contact
  • Family safe word for “verify it’s really me”
  • Hang-up-and-call-back protocol
  • Optional shared calendar for monthly check-ins

What we cover in the visit

A practical checklist you keep. Every item is explained so your loved one can maintain it—or call us when something changes.

How it works

Simple process. No contracts. You stay in control.

1. Protection visit

2 to 3 hours in person in the Denver area, or by secure video.

We meet where your loved one is comfortable—home, a quiet public space, or on a video call with an adult child on the line if desired. We work through the full 10-point checklist, explain each step, and leave a signed summary they can keep.

2. Monthly check-in

About 30 minutes to review statements, alerts, and new scam patterns.

We look at recent bank and card activity together (on screen they control), confirm freezes and 2FA are still in place, and share the latest common scams targeting people in their age group. Optional: add another family member for a small extra monthly fee.

3. Text or call anytime

“Is this a scam?” Get a clear answer before any money moves.

Suspicious text, email, or call? Send a screenshot or description. We respond so they don’t have to decide alone under pressure. This is coaching and education—not legal or financial advice, and we never move funds.

Simple pricing

No contracts. Cancel any time. Most families start with the visit and add ongoing care once they see the value.

Families we’ve helped

Anonymized stories from Denver-area families. Details changed to protect privacy; the situations are real patterns we see often.

Almost clicked

“Mom got a text that her bank account was locked. She almost opened the link. Instead she texted us the screenshot. We confirmed it was a scam in under two minutes—then we scheduled the full visit the same week.”

— Adult daughter, Highlands Ranch · parent in Aurora

After a relative was hit

“My uncle lost money to a tech-support scam. We didn’t want my dad to be next. Mun Ink walked him through freezes, 2FA, and a family safe word. Dad still feels in charge—and I sleep better.”

— Son, Boulder · father in Lakewood

Ongoing peace of mind

“The monthly check-in is short but useful. Last month they flagged a new ‘grandparent emergency’ script going around. Grandma knows to hang up and call me on the number she already has.”

— Granddaughter, Denver · grandmother in Centennial

Questions families ask

Do you see or keep our passwords?

No. Your loved one types their own credentials while we guide. We never record, photograph, or store passwords, PINs, or account numbers. If we need to demonstrate a step, we use a test account or walk through it on their screen under their control.

Are you a financial advisor or attorney?

No. We are educators and coaches. We do not give investment advice, tax advice, or legal advice, and we never touch or move anyone’s money. If a situation needs a licensed professional, we say so and help you find the right next step.

Can an adult child sit in?

Yes—and we encourage it. Family involvement is one of the strongest protections. You can join in person or by video. We still keep the conversation respectful and paced for the person we’re protecting.

What if my parent lives far away?

We can do the full visit over video, with you on the call if you like. Ongoing monthly check-ins and “is this a scam?” texts work the same way from anywhere.

What kinds of scams do you help with?

Common ones include fake bank or IRS texts, tech-support pop-ups, romance and “grandparent” emergency calls, SIM-swap and account-takeover attempts, and phishing emails that try to harvest passwords. We focus on prevention and calm response—not chasing money already lost (that often requires banks, police, or specialists).

Do you replace credit-monitoring services?

No. Credit freezes and strong account hygiene reduce the chance of new accounts being opened. Paid monitoring can still be useful for alerts; we can help you understand what a freeze does versus what a monitoring product does so you can decide.

What if something goes wrong after the visit?

Text or call us. We’ll help interpret the situation and point to the right next action—bank fraud department, carrier, IdentityTheft.gov, or law enforcement when appropriate. Ongoing care clients get priority response as part of the monthly relationship.

Is there a contract?

No. The protection visit is a one-time fee. Ongoing care is month-to-month and can be canceled anytime.
